Our mission as the local church is to be a community of grace, knowing, loving, and worshiping our God according to the Bible, expressing the mercy of Christ to our community and world! We aspire to be intentionally missional by LIVING to glorify God by knowing and demonstrating the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:37-39) and by LOVING God with all our heart, strength & mind and loving others as ourselves (Matthew 28:19-20). Join us as we seek opportunities to serve for the sake of Christ through outreach events, intentional community engagement, and community interaction.
On the 2nd Thursday of every month, the Cedar Grove Area Food Pantry distributes non-perishable food items from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Our desire is to serve those who are in need within the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District. The location is hosted by Faith Reformed Church at 243 S 4th St, Cedar Grove.
If you wish to donate food to the pantry, feel free to drop off non-perishable food items at our church, in the barrel at Faith Reformed Church, or at other local establishments (including the Cedar Grove Piggly Wiggly).
Led by Lloyd TerMaat, this ministry works in cooperation with several organizations in the City of Milwaukee. A team of volunteers collects clothing, furniture, and other items and delivers said goods to people in need. Several truck and trailer loads are transported to Milwaukee weekly. Donated items can be dropped off at the church, or contact the church office to coordinate pick-up.
GO Quilting distributes approximately 250 quilts of various sizes each year. The groups/organizations receiving quilts include, but aren’t limited to: Love Thy Neighbor, Pine Haven Auxiliary, Holland Festival Raffle, Mary’s Room, Sharon Richardson Hospice, Project Linus, Sheboygan County Health and Human Services, kids in need from CGB School District, and Safe Harbor. If there are any other groups/organizations that would benefit from the quilts, please contact the church office. GO quilting meets every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Extra quilters of any skill level are always welcome to join. We are always in need of clean mattress pads, blankets, and flannel sheets for filling the quilts. GO Quilting would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.
Jon and Kim Hoffman have been directors of God’s Kidz in the Neighborhood since 2013, taking over from founders of the ministry, Jim and Debi Godsey. This ministry has been serving the children and families of Milwaukee’s north side for 30 years. It is a missional ministry to the hurting and lost in the community. They enter into the community with humility, acknowledging that they should not presume to know the needs of the community and also acknowledging that God is already at work in the lives there. The nonprofit exists to enable churches and individuals to partner with and equip them to address the needs of their neighbors. The ministry is not program based but relationship based. They reach out and get to know the kids and teens in the neighborhood as well as their families and show them the love of Christ through relationships, service, bible studies, and spiritual mentoring. “Serving the physical and spiritual needs of the community with dignity and love”
Founded in 2010, Adullam Outreach has united with organizations and churches in the central city of Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs to touch the lives of hurting people. Isaiah 61 was and is the foundational scripture that addresses the physical and spiritual needs of the surrounding community. There is a mutual benefit to give and receive love, and they find that everyone has the need to be loved. Adullam exists to bring unity and to celebrate the diversity in God’s creation through providing a safe place for people to come together and be the family that God intended. Evan and Annissa Hartwig serve as full-time missionaries to follow their passion for camp and disability ministry. Camp Daniel is an organization dedicated to providing people with disabilities opportunities for personal, social and spiritual growth. Camp Daniel is rooted in its summer camping program that offers people with disabilities access to safe and fun Northwoods camping experiences, where the physical, social, and spiritual needs, that each person’s disability requires, are lovingly met. Through each week of camp, the dedicated staff at Camp Daniel works toward imparting the belief that each of us have value and been given gifts to offer others. Each camper and volunteer participates in a multitude of activities designed to reinforce the concept of our need for each other and the value of our differences. Click here to learn more.
