LSI Day Care

Day Care - Little Shepherd's Inn

Little Shepherd’s Inn is a state licensed child care center for six weeks through 12 year old children.  We extend an invitation to tour our facilities.  To set up an appointment, please call the daycare at 920-912-6327.

We offer care for School Readiness, full time, part time, before and after school, and summer care for school age.  We are open Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

LSI is staffed with experienced care professionals who are licensed in their fields – a Wisconsin Certified Early Childhood (BA Degree) Teacher and Child Development (Associate Degree) Teachers on staff.

It is the goal of LSI staff to provide a loving, caring environment where children feel safe to express themselves, where positive role modeling and Christian core values are demonstrated on a daily basis.
Goal of LSI Staff

The goal for the children attending LSI is to develop:

  • Sharing and cooperation skills
  • How to make good choices
  • The appropriate way to express feelings
  • Active participation with others
  • A higher level of curiosity and creativity
  • Small and large muscle coordination

A variety of avenues are used to explore life with the twos and threes:

  • Hands on crafts/projects
  • Games/activities
  • Identifying letters, numbers, colors
  • Sharing time
  • Bible stories/story time
  • Drama/music
  • Meals and snack time
  • Creative play time
  • One on one contact

Our School Readiness Program is Monday-Thursday 8:30-11:00 AM.  Classes run September to May.  We follow the Cedar Grove-Belgium School Calendar for Christmas and spring break.

Curriculum

Curriculum

HighReach Learning meets the Wisconsin Early Learning Standards. Examples of themes include "From Home to School", "Harvest Time", "Sensational Senses", "Terrific Tools", and "Trucks and Big Machines."  These themes will cover different learning areas including large and fine motor physical development, social and emotional development, language development, cognitive development, and arts & crafts.  The day will also include devotions and Bible time.

Little Shepherd's Inn School Readiness program will aid your child in being ready for school.
